Who we are
KamaiPlus is a product of ProVenture, a proprietorship of Rahul Jadhav, Nath Valley Road, Kanchanwadi, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra, India (GSTIN 27AZIPL7277P1ZD). "We", "us" and "our" mean ProVenture. This policy covers KamaiPlus Desktop (Windows), the KamaiPlus app for Android (com.kamaiplus.pos) and this website, kamaiplus.com.
Your shop's customers' details (names, mobile numbers, udhar) are entered by you. For that data you decide what is collected and why; we process it only to run the apps for you.
In short
- KamaiPlus Desktop keeps your bills, items, customers and khata on your own computer. We do not receive them unless you switch on cloud sync.
- We receive what is needed to run the licence and support: your licence key, the computer's ID and name, the app version, and a few counts (such as how many bills today), never names, amounts or bills.
- The Android app uses your Google account to sign in and can sync your shop data to your account on Google Firebase.
- We do not sell your data or show you advertising.
KamaiPlus Desktop
Stored only on your computer
Shop profile, items and prices, bills, returns, customers, khata, suppliers, purchases, stock, settings and backups are stored in the app on your PC and in Documents\KamaiPlus. Backups go to a folder of your choice (for example a pen drive or your Google Drive folder) only if you choose one.
Sent to us
- Activation and licence check-in: licence key, a computer ID derived from the PC, the computer's name and the app version. Purpose: to issue and validate the licence and to block a key reported stolen or moved.
- Health counts with each check-in: bills today and in the last 7 days, number of items and customers, time of the last bill and last backup, number of backups kept, whether an extra backup copy and cloud sync are on, number of app errors in 7 days, free disk space and the Windows version. Purpose: to spot problems (for example, no backup for days) and help you before they cost you data. These are counts only.
- Problem reports: only when you send one from Settings → Help & Support, by WhatsApp or email. They contain technical error details and no bills, customers or prices.
Optional
- Google sign-in: if you connect a Google account, we receive your name, email and Google account ID to link the shop's cloud account.
- Cloud sync (beta): if you switch it on, your shop data is stored in your shop's account on Google Firebase so another device can use it.
- WhatsApp: when you send a bill or reminder, the app opens WhatsApp with the message. WhatsApp's own privacy policy applies to what you send.
- Updates: the app downloads updates from our update server, which sees your IP address like any website.
KamaiPlus for Android
Account
Sign-in is with Google (Firebase Authentication). We receive your name, email, profile photo and Google account ID.
Shop data
Items, bills, customers, khata and settings are stored on the phone and synced to your shop's account on Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore) so they are backed up and available on your other devices.
Permissions and why
- Camera: scanning barcodes and taking photos of items or bills.
- Notification access (only if you allow it): to read UPI payment notifications on the phone so a payment can be matched to a bill. Notification content stays on the phone.
- Contacts: only the contact you pick with the phone's contact picker, to fill a customer's name and number.
- Fingerprint / face unlock: to lock the app. Handled by Android; we never receive biometric data.
- Bluetooth: to print to Bluetooth receipt and label printers.
- Notifications: reminders and messages from KamaiPlus.
- Storage: saving and opening bills, exports and backups.
Optional features
- Google Drive backup: uses the drive.file permission, which only allows the app to see files it created itself.
- AI photo scan: when you scan an item list or bill photo, the image is sent to Google's Gemini service to read the items. Use it only for business documents.
- Payments for KamaiPlus Pro: processed by Razorpay. We receive the payment status, not your card or UPI details.
App diagnostics
Crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics) include the device model, Android version, app version and the error, so we can fix crashes.
This website
kamaiplus.com sets no cookies, uses no analytics, tracking or advertising, and loads nothing from other sites (its fonts are served from our own site). Details are in our cookie policy. The free tools (GST calculator, barcode generator, reminder writer) work inside your browser; what you type in them is not sent to us. If you fill the demo form, it prepares a WhatsApp message with your name, mobile number and the optional details you typed; nothing is sent until you send it in WhatsApp, and we use it only to call you back about KamaiPlus. Our hosting (Google Firebase Hosting) receives your IP address and browser details to deliver the pages, like any website.
Who we share with
We use these service providers, only for the purposes above:
- Google (Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Functions, Hosting, Crashlytics, Cloud Messaging, Remote Config, Gemini, Google Drive) — servers may be outside India.
- Razorpay — payments for the Android Pro plan.
- WhatsApp / Meta — only the messages you choose to send.
We share data with authorities only when Indian law requires it. We never sell personal data.
How long we keep data
- Licence records and check-in data: while the licence is active and for up to 3 years after, for support and accounting.
- Health counts: only the latest set is kept per computer.
- Android cloud data: until you delete it or ask us to delete your account.
- Invoices for licences we sell: as long as tax law requires (currently 8 years).
Security
Desktop data is protected by the shop's master password on the PC. Data sent to us travels over HTTPS. Firebase data is protected by access rules that let only your account read your shop's data. No system is perfectly secure; keep your passwords private and your backups in a safe place.
If a breach of personal data we hold happens, we will inform the affected people and the Data Protection Board of India as the DPDP Act and its Rules require, with what happened and what you can do.
Your rights
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you can ask us to: tell you what personal data we hold about you; correct or update it; erase it (where we are not required by law to keep it); and nominate someone to exercise these rights for you. You can withdraw consent for optional features at any time by switching them off. Write to us using the contact below; we reply within 30 days.
We use personal data for the purposes described on this page, with your consent (which you give by installing, signing in, switching on an optional feature or sending us a message) or where the law allows it without consent, such as to keep tax records. We collect only what each purpose needs.
If you are not satisfied with our reply, contact our Grievance Officer. If the matter is still not resolved, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
Delete your account
To delete your KamaiPlus Android account and its cloud data, message us from your registered number on WhatsApp (+91 86699 97711) or email support@kamaiplus.com from your sign-in email with the subject "Delete my account". We confirm the request and delete the account and its cloud data within 30 days, except records we must keep by law (such as payment invoices). Data stored only on your phone or PC is deleted by uninstalling the app and removing its backups.
Children
KamaiPlus is a business tool for shop owners and is not meant for anyone under 18.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date above and, for important changes, tell you in the app.
